RE-RATING TRANSMISSION LINES SERVICES

The proposed method of existing transmission lines re-rating is fast, cost effective and environmentally friendly as compared to the construction of new lines. The technology can help utility companies verify the actual capacity of the transmission line in order to maximize the loading, especially on lines identified as critical. The technique is the most cost effective for upgrading.

  • LiDAR Data Verification: 56 C Maximum Thermal Rating, 52 Mw Capacity at 38 C Ambient & 2 Ft/sec Wind
  • Final Results: Increased Temperature Rating from 56 C to 100 C
